Welcome!

I’m Taylor (she/her). I work collaboratively with my clients to co-create a therapeutic relationship where my client is positioned as the expert on their own life. I do not believe in "one size fits all" therapeutic modalities. My goal is to meet each client exactly where they are with an approach that is deeply person-centred.

I believe all people possess within them the resources necessary to facilitate growth and change. At times, trauma, life stressors and structural barriers may impact a person's ability to connect with this inner knowing. I view my role as a therapist as one where I walk alongside my clients, offering guidance as necessary on their journey towards health and healing.

I strive to honour my clients' many intersecting identities by inviting them to show up as their most authentic selves. I welcome any individual or partnership where the individuals are 18+.

My practice is informed by my training, research, counselling adjacent professional experience and my own lived experiences. I am trained in the Gottman Method (Levels 1 & 2), Motivational Interviewing, and am currently working towards certification in Emotion-Focused Therapy.

My own experience navigating addiction and recovery ignited within me a passion for helping others struggling with addictions. I have a combined 8 years experience between my role as a counsellor and previous work in the shelter system supporting individuals with substance use concerns.

In addition to my passion supporting individuals with addiction and recovery I also support individuals who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, identity, relationship issues or other general mental health concerns.

We are social creatures. I believe the development and maintenance of healthy relationships is integral to our well-being. I support partnerships of all forms (monogamous/poly/open) who are looking to decrease unhealthy conflict, and deepen connection.

If it sounds like I may be the right fit, I would love to connect with you!
